MANDATORY HELMET LAW, SIGNED ON THE SENATE: A heads up brothers

Mandatory helmet law was already signed (yesterday). 15 days from now it will be implemented nationwide.

Helmets must have the following elements:
-Hard outer shell
-Inner shell (styrofoam)
-Lining (I'm not sure what this is)
-Strap (with lock)

Well 3 to 5 years from now. The DTI will be finished on the research on DOT helmets. After that all bikers need to wear DOT helmets.

Eto yung "unseen forces againsts bikers" fhil. Example. Madaling sabihin na fake na DOT ang helmet natin. So kahit anung katuwiran natin kotong talaga yan.

Ang masaklap nito... lahat ng bikers na ito na naka helment.

alam nyo mga bro..kanina ko pa iniisip yan..mula nung na-post ni pareng bheng ito..it all boils into one..SAFETY..kaso yung 'unseen forces" tila "barking on ther wrong tree"...fonder this..lately ba ano yung common cause of accident dito sa atin..hindi naman dahil sa hindi DOT approved helmet suot mo or hindi naman dahil sa modified ang motorsiklo mo...ang salarin..DRUNK DRIVING! Siguro yun ang pagtuunan ng pansin ng kinauukulan, hindi yung kalayaan. Para sa akin, ok ang helmet law pero ok rin na by choice. Besides its our head we're talking.

I wear a helmet even if Im going around the village at 30kph. Why? because my helmet keeps me confident, relatively safe, and I think its cool hehehe. You would never see me riding my bike or driving a cart without a helmet. In fact, because of this helmet law I think i'll make designing helmets a hobby. :) But the thing here is that I fervently believe that riding with a helmet is top priority, That is my standard, but I do not want to impose my standards to limit the rights of other people.

Once a law is a law enacted legally and passed by the lower house (Congress) and the upper house (Senate) and approved and signed by the president of the Philipines, That particular law will be implemented whether we like it or not. whether the MMDA or the Police or the local deputized elements of the LTO implements it, we can not do anything about it except to follow the said law in order for us to be spared from being delayed from our rides, to wherever our destination is.
The law is the law whatever angle you may look at it and it is to be implemented by AUTHORITIES DESIGNATED TO IMPLEMENT IT and to be followed BY THOSE CITIZENS THAT FALLS UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF THE SAID LAW. Naturally, those who will not obey or found/accosted, stopped and proven to be guilty of violating the said law will naturally be slapped with the corresponding punishments.

Now the question is, WHAT IS THE EASIEST THING TO DO IN THIS CASE OR KIND OF SITUATION? IS IT TO OBEY AND RESPECT THE LAW AND RID YOURSELF OF THE HAZZLES OF BEING STOPPED AND CHECKED BY THE AUTHORITIES OR TO JUST SIMPLY IGNORE THE LAW AND FACE THE CONSEQUENCES OF OUR ACTIONS.

REMEMBER, BROTHERS, THAT WE ARE MATURED ENOUGH TO DISTINGUISH WHETHER A LAW IS FOR OUR BENEFITS OR NOT,IF IT IS THEN WE SHOULD FOLLOW AND ABIDE BY IT. IF IT IS NOT THEN BY ALL MEANS LET US BE HEARD THROUGH THE PROPER CHANNEL.

(BAKYA ANG HELMET MO HINDI BAGAY SA CRUISER AT SA ATTIRE MO!!!) TOHELLWITH THAT!!! Pro-Choice here. Even without the signing of these law, It has been practiced and implemented. Thus being a law abiding citizen, I wear one. But in our subdivision, I dont. You can quote me on that guys. On national highways, I wear a lid.

Most Pro-Choice wear a lid. Some of them choose to wear one. Some are forced to wear one because of the being practiced law. Pro-Choice or not... everybody in ACMC are wearing one. So I guess that solves the role model thing.

Pro-Choice will never break the law. But we air out our opinions on the matter. Hence, freedom.

Example form of freedom. Say I have a brain cancer (non-contageous). I choose to go to the Faith Healers for cure instead to the medical doctors. But when the govt say "when you are sick, you must go to medical doctors." that will be containment of my freedom. But if I have SARS sickness which is contageous and will definitely affect the health of my fellowmen, then that is the time the govt is right. Because my sickness will supercede the rights of others to be healthy.

Lack of helmet is not the reason why a biker falls down. Its drunkness, lack of discipline and respect to other bikers. You can include lack of skills and information about his bike. Lack of helmet does not affect other bikers who rides. They wont fall if someone (other) dont wear a helmet. Hence, actions does not supercede the rights of others.

Example, Henri is Pro-Choice. He chooses to wear a helmet. That's pure freedom. But other Pro-Choice don't have any choice at all.
